At the Nova IVF centre in Basaveshwaranagar, we will work with you in developing the best treatment plan for your specific needs. The centre offers a comprehensive range of advanced diagnostic techniques and speciality & sub-speciality treatments that include:

  Blood Tests
Several blood tests are available to determine if you, your partner, or both of you have an issue or issues that are causing infertility. Tests to diagnose the same include follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) level, antimüllerian hormone (AMH), estradiol, and/or inhibin-B, among other tests.
  Infertility Assessment
After a comprehensive consultation with your specialist team at the Nova centre, they will conduct an evaluation of your body, your health and lifestyle. The specialists may recommend one or more of the following preliminary tests that include a blood test, BBT charting, postcoital test among others, to determine the underlying factors that may be causing infertility. Your specialist will then analyse the results and work with you to develop a strategy.
  Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
It is an X-ray dye test that allows your doctor to view your uterus and fallopian tubes to identify reproductive issues brought on by obstructed or irregularities in fallopian tubes.
  Endometrial Receptivity Array (ERA)
A test procedure used to diagnose whether the endometrial cavity is prepared for implantation of the embryo. It is often used to identify the window of implantation. It involves a small biopsy of a sample from the uterus lining called the endometrium.
  Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgery or keyhole surgery that involves a laparoscope to be inserted from a small incision in the lower abdomen to help the specialists view the organs for signs of infertility.
  Beta HCG
The hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is generated by trophoblast cells that are surrounding a developing embryo. The HCG blood test detects the existence of this hormone in your blood, whereas the BETA-HCG test measures the hormone's concentrations.
  Semen Analysis
A semen analysis is a lab test that evaluates sperm count, motility, and morphology among other factors. It analyses the viability and health of sperm to confirm or rule out the cause of infertility.
  DNA Fragmentation Index (DFI)
The sperm DFI assesses the quality of semen. It measures the damage of DNA in the sperm sample.
  Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
In the procedure, the spouse's sperm that has been washed are put into the uterus during the window when the woman's ovary releases one or more eggs to be fertilised. It is a simple procedure that is recommended for many couples.
  In-vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
Many patients who have had unsuccessful IUI cycles can consider IVF as an advanced option. It is a complex series of procedures that are carried out in a lab where the mature eggs are retrieved from ovaries to be fertilised by the sperm.
  Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Patients may elect ICSI when earlier IVF cycles have failed, or sperm motility is low, among other factors. ICSI is a microscopic method for sperm and egg fertilisation. The procedure entails picking up a sperm with the aid of a microscope to inject the sperm into each egg for fertilisation.
  Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (PESA)
PESA is performed on men who are having their sperm harvested for IVF/ICSI. The procedure is elected for men who are experiencing obstructive azoospermia from an infection or an earlier vasectomy. It is carried out under local anaesthetic along with the egg retrieval procedure of the spouse.
  Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)
The specialist creates an incision in the testis to locate and extract the sperm. The procedure can also be scheduled with the spouse's egg retrieval procedure.
  Cryopreservation: Egg, Sperm & Oocyte
Cryopreservation is a technique to freeze sperms, eggs, or embryos to be thawed later to manage fertility issues. Cryopreserved eggs, when properly stored, can remain viable even beyond 14 years, while sperms may remain viable indefinitely. Good quality embryos may be cryopreserved at any stage. Couples resort to cryopreservation if a partner has a medical condition like cancer. Also, many women may seek to freeze oocytes as an elective option to delay childbearing for personal or social reasons as well.
Donor Programme: Sperm, Egg & Embryo

All donor sperm samples are obtained from established and registered sperm banks. Also, the sperm, embryos and eggs are from pre-screened and healthy anonymous donors. Both spouses undergo extensive counselling to be emotionally and mentally prepared for the procedure.

  • Embryo Donation: In this method, an embryo developed through IVF procedure from a conceived patient/donor, is transferred into the uterus of an infertile woman.
  • Egg Donation: Ovum (egg) donation is a procedure in which the husband's sperm are used to fertilise the eggs of a healthy egg donor, and the resultant embryos are then implanted into the wife's uterus.
  • Sperm adoption: In the procedure, the wife’s eggs are inseminated with donor sperm through IUI, or her eggs are fertilised during an IVF / ICSI treatment.
