Dr Sulbha Arora is a Fertility Consultant at Nova IVF Fertility, Andheri, Mumbai. She has 25 years of experience as a medical practitioner, and 20 years of experience in the field of IVF and Assisted Reproductive Techniques. She has been included in Mumbai’s Top 9 IVF Specialists 2020 based on an extensive peer survey of consultant doctors in Mumbai by Digimedia Inc and India Today. She has been a key figure in establishing and operating several IVF centres in the city of Mumbai over the last 20 years. Dr Sulbha has vast experience in imparting education in IVF and has trained numerous gynaecologists from India and abroad in the field of Reproductive Medicine.

Having been through fertility struggles of her own, she has a deeper understanding of what the journey entails for her patients, and strongly believes in ensuring that their path to parenthood is a pleasurable one and not a painful one. To this end, holistic care of her patients’ wellbeing not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well, forms the mainstay of her approach to fertility treatments. She believes in counselling each couple about the various options available after a thorough evaluation of each individual case, encouraging them to be a part of the decision making process and make informed choices, as no one-size fits all.

Although her special areas of interest are poor responders, PCOS, fertility preservation and third-party reproduction, she has handled thousands of infertility cases over the course of her 20 years in the field and has developed a thorough understanding of all facets of fertility and embryology.

She is a Visiting Consultant to Fiji. She is ex Scientific Director of Rotunda Blue – Fertility Clinic & Keyhole Surgery Centre. She has dedicated herself to the cause of making fertility treatments easy and accessible for all sections of society.

She has trained under the pioneers of Assisted Reproductive Technologies in India and abroad.

  • She has been actively involved in managing the online content for WARM (World Association of Reproductive Medicine) and ISFT (International Society for Fallopian Tubes) from 2007-10.
  • Past Associate Editor of the IVF Lite Journal of Minimal Stimulation, and Editor of the MOGS News & Views and ISAR Express.
  • Peer Reviewer of the journals Fertility and Sterility, and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India.
  • She has authored over 25 chapters on the subject in various textbooks.
